Cutie Pie at 3 Months!!

I LOVE LOVE this family! I have been photographing their lives unfold since Cindy and Steve got engaged and I LOVE every single shoot. Every shoot is even more relaxing and fun for me! Their cutie daughter Kalli is three months old now and cuter than ever. We have a shoot planned for 6 months, 9 months and a year... which at the end we are doing an awesome coffee table book from all the shoots showing her first year! I can't wait! Here are a few from her shoot to hold everyone over.

I have fallen in love with a makeup artist that is constantly "doing up" models for me! She does some AWESOME work! She can make true beauty shine brighter than the sun! When she came to me and asked if I would help photograph some models she got for her portfolio, I was more than honored! All of the models were beautiful and then other awesome photog friends come out to shoot as well! It really was a great time. When half the group went to the train tracks (yes, my group) to shoot a few, we quickly found out that the Tempe Police are quick to arrest ANYONE who walks on the train tracks... little did we know that it was a Class 6 felony to actually walk on them. So, lesson learned... don't walk on train tracks, ANYWHERE.

Lee & Christina are having a baby!!!

I have been so excited for today to come, to shoot maternity photos of my older brother and his wife. I can't believe how fast this pregnancy has gone. She is now 34 weeks and I am so excited to see my new nephew when he is ready! I couldn't help but get a couple from todays shoot to share with you.... these are just a few of my favorites!!!! Making Some Changes...

So, be watching for a new website and blog. I will also be adding a few new features to what I include for my clients!!! These changes may be about a month out, but I will keep you updated.
ALSO.... speaking of changes. Today, I was getting my baby boy ready for the bath when jordyn said she wanted to do something for daddy, and it wasn't taking a bath, haha. I asked her if she wanted to fix her hair and she replied with, "Yes, I want to Cut!" She is a pretty independent two year old and loves to please people. So, I thought, she could go for a good hair cut. In fact, she has never had a major change, just trims. So, we chopped off maybe 4 inches and styled it up. She was SOOOO excited to show daddy her new hair cut, she asked to wait up for him to get home from work. When he walked in the door to see her, she was soo excited all that came out was... "HAIR!" and some high pitch squeals. She loves him so much, it makes me just want to tear up. But here are a couple shots of her new hair! She absolutely loves its. She goes around shaking it and running her fingers through it... I can't get enough, she is too funny. Excuse the no shirt... she was finally ready for the bath after a hair cut.

I am a photographer and I love what I do! Part of my job/love is to photograph people, capture awesome moments, and produce wonderful art for people to have forever. Well, this couple made my job SOOOO easy. Elisa was such a happy and joy-radiating bride! I honestly have to say that I don't think I got one bad photo of her. She was so much fun, dancing, twirling, skipping around as we photographed. Federico is from Argentina, his whole family came from there to see him get married. I couldn't get over their love for each other and of course, their accents. Fede had so much fun with us as we photographed, with his Zoo-Lander faces and other fun stuff. This was a fun wedding! Thank you guys for asking me to capture your day! I absolutely loved it!
I had the pleasure of having Annie Randall, a long time friend and an awesome photographer, come along to help me get all these great shots! She really helped this day rock! Her photography is awesome which you can see in their photos as well as others of her own, www.annierandall.com.

I'm a little Behind on posting...

I know, I know... I am a little behind on posting. In fact, its been brought to my attention that I am needing to go back to posting at least once a week. And since I have at least one thing a week I am photographing, then I must start posting more often again. Since I started work again after having my son, I have been SO busy trying to keep up on posting what is fresh and NEW. I am also in the process of a WHOLE NEW WEBSITE!!! I am so excited. So, hang in there, I will get to posting. And remember to check back frequently and be watching for my new site to make its debut in the next couple weeks!!

My Baby Boy....

He is 6 months old now... how did six months go by, I ask myself. I would say I have no idea, but I do. Being soooo busy with photography and two little ones makes the days go by in the blink of an eye! But I love it!
A photog friend of mine loaned me a new lens so I can try it out. I was just playing with it and practicing on my son. I had to post a couple! He is such a cutie!

URBAN GRUNGE - So Fun!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE having shoots like this. The idea came up when my friend, Laura, and I were chatting about how we used to take fun photos all the time. So, I can't up with an idea of Urban and downtown. Everything came together beautifully. We had the best make up, Celestial Williams and Jana Siefer. Then all the models were so fun: Laura, Sydnee, Cece, Beth and Lauren. I, also, asked a few of my photog friends to join the fun, Gretchen, Patrick, Kara, Merek, Danielle and Darcy! I had such a blast and I can't wait to plan another!! If anyone wants to be apart of a future shoot, let me know, ITS A LOT OF FUN.

FABULOUS! This photo shoot was so much fun. Several local photographers and models got together and spent Monday afternoon at this awesome farm. I was in heaven!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Girls!

My sweet daughter, Jordyn and her cousin, Kalli just turned two years old! They are only ten days apart. They are great friends and love running around together, holding hands! We took them out in their favorite gear, TuTu's, rain boots and wings!
Kalli was wearing army rain boots for her dad (my brother, who is in Korea for the army) and pink TuTu for her mom. It was the perfect mix... so cute! Just look at them, how could you not love them!

What a fun bunch of IRISH people! They themed the wedding around their Irish heritage, from clovers all over to green colored drinks! They got married in Sun City, but had their reception in Mesa at Falcon Field. Too bad we didn't have more time to take photos with the planes...I was really looking forward to some awesome photos on the runway, but time did not allow for many photos with the planes, I was so disappointed. But it was still a great wedding!!! Congrats, Autumn and Travis!

I met Jessica at her brothers wedding almost a year ago. And now I got to shoot her engagement photos. They are so cute together and so in love! We wanted to end our session with a few photos up on the old rail road tracks. Then to our surprise a train was actually coming. We didn't see any flashing lights on the arms at the nearest intersection, which is why we were in disbelief. We started to book it, luckily the train was not coming so fast and we made it off in time. I can't wait for their wedding in December!

Time for John to leave already. I can't believe 5 weeks has passed since he arrived back home. As I said before, it will be strange to not see him for over a year, since we have never gone more than a couple weeks without seeing each other since we were little. He was supposed to leave Monday, but his planes were delayed and he got to stay until Tuesday. And my grandma had asked for some photos of him, more traditional, so she can hang them on her wall. So, I got to do one more, small-but-fun, shoot of him. There are quite a few that were fun and silly, but he wanted me to only post a few of the "better" ones. Love you little brother, and see you soon.

How did a whole month go by? Travis is now ONE MONTH OLD...WOW, Time flies!!! I wanted to get a few new photos to show how handsome my little man is and got so many good ones. Then Jordyn wanted in on the action. I let her play with some jewelry and makeup. Luckily, she is very good about not making a disaster out of the makeup... as long as I am watching, at least. I love photographing my sweet babies, I think they are just so cute! Jordyn loves having her photograph taken some times... this was one of those times! I'm so excited to show off how cute they are!!!

My little brother...

I never imagined my little brother grown up and being a man. But he has grown up, gotten taller and quite muscular, has a beautiful daughter and joined the army. Its been almost a year since John joined the army He has been gone in Georgia for about 9 months without any time to come back and visit. This was so strange for me since me and my brothers never lived far from each other and never went much time without seeing each other. However, he did get to come back at the end of August to visit for 5 weeks. Since he is being sent to Korea and then Iraq for a little over the next year, we wanted to get some photos of him and his sweet daughter!
Like I said, it was always hard to imagine him grown up, but he is and has a daughter. I loved taking these photos. I know he will love having them with him while he is away.

Baby Lilia is here and one month old! I was able to photograph her mom and dad, DV and Mark, a few weeks back when she was still pregnant with this sweet little one. Oh My Gosh... Little Lilia is such a beautiful baby! Everything about her is just so precious. She has beautiful hair, eyes, I could go on and on... And I was more than excited when the time came to photograph her!
I borrowed an awesome TuTu from my friend Annie Randall, who is also a photographer. You just can't go wrong with a baby girl and a great TuTu. I loved how each one turned out! I will be buying a few of these TuTus in different colors for sure!
I posted quite a few, I bet your hearts will just melt over her!!

Playing Around!

I love to be able to play around in photoshop, just adding a little "something" to photos to give them a slightly different feel. I could do this for hours upon hours and I probably would find myself "playing" through the nights adding effects. Here are a couple I just finished from the current maternity shoot of Camie. I had the pleasure of snapping a few photos of a long time friend while we were out last week. She actually came with me to help me photograph my little ones and we decided to quickly get a few shots. It was perfectly overcast, AT FIRST, then as we snapped a few of Camie, the sun was blazing. And I know first hand, how it can be quite uncomfortable being in the heat at 9 months pregnant. However, though there are few, I thought they turned out neat, so I wanted to share!

TRAVIS MICHAEL...

I now want to introduce you to the new little, or shall I say "not so little" man in our lives.... Travis Michael Keator was born on August 27th, 2008 at 6:36am. He weighed 9lbs 4oz and measured 22 inches long! Yes, those numbers look big but he doesn't seem to be. When we look at him he just looks so small and sweet.
I have shot a couple different times to get specific photos, he is not the typical newborn when it comes to photo shoots. Well, not the typical that I have photographed before. He has been awake for almost every photo, he doesn't like to be curled up like most newborns. Its like he is ready to take on the world at just two weeks old.
There are a few new ones of Jordyn in there as well. She can never pass up a photo shoot, not too often anyway! Most of my FAVORITE ones are missing, because I am putting them on my announcements I will be mailing out and I wanted to keep some in hiding until then.

Baby TRAVIS is here...

YES!!! He is here!!! Travis Michael was born on August 27th, 2008 at 6:36am. He weighed 9lbs 4oz and was 22 inches long. The little guy had light brown hair with a tint of red. We were pretty surprised to see the red in it, especially since our first child had red hair. Mike and I both have dark brown hair and I heard that statistically a second child with red hair is not likely. But we are so stoked, he is the most handsome little guy ever!
I will be taking some photos shortly. I am just getting back to myself and becoming able walk around more normal.
I wanted to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers! Things are great. I will be posted some pics shortly!

"X" Marks The Spot for DV and Mark!!!

I went to high school with DV. It was so sweet to see her and her husband, Mark, so excited for this little girl they are having in just a few weeks. DV and I are only one day apart in our due dates. I think we were both hoping the photo shoot would help put us into labor shortly after!! No news yet. But I did want to give you a little preview of our fun shoot a few days ago. DV is beautiful and makes being pregnant look so good! And I think it was so cute, she has a little scar from a belly button piercing that looks just like an "X." It reminded me of "X marks the spot." There is a sweet little one right in there. Here are a few of the many!!!!

A Way to Enjoy the Heat...

It has been so great to be spending a little extra time with my daughter, Jordyn... This morning we woke up and she pulled me out to her little pool area and turned the hose on, all by herself. She was so excited to spray me and totally soak me. In fact, I think she enjoyed spraying everything, I turned my back for one second and she had opened the back door and taken the hose into the house... quick little thing, she is! But, you know, its all fun and games with kids. I couldn't help but laugh.
She also loves to have her picture taken, so I grabbed my camera and captured some of her sweetness. Lately, she has been doing this thing where she gets a little piece of ANYTHING on her finger or hand and says that it is a BUG.... then she pushes it close to people trying to scare them. Its so cute, because I think she thinks she is so clever! You can see it in her face.
Well, I just wanted to share a few of these photos and some of my joy!

I have such wonderful clients! Really, they are all more like friends now! I really appreciate all your calls and emails about my pregnancy and how things are coming along now that I am in the last several weeks. I am doing great and getting very anxious to have this little man in our lives! I will still be shooting some family, maternity and baby shoots in this last month, so please check back for those updates. Speaking of updates... I wanted to let you all know, in advance, that I will also be working on some updates to my website in the next few weeks. Things may start to look a little different, I will be adding some more photos, galleries and information. Also, I will be adding a section for Portraiture for families, maternity, babies, etc. I have had the pleasure of keeping in contact with so many of my clients as they go through life and I have been honored to capture these new times. So, I will be adding these sections for all of you! So, please hang in there as things change... at times there may be a little bit missing but I will do my best to get things done quickly!

Taking It Easy...

I am now 31 weeks along, with my little guy measuring two weeks ahead at 33 weeks. I have been told to take it easy by my doctor because I was doing too much and causing contractions. So for the last week I have been taking it easy. I still have some family photo shoots coming up, but thats not too much. In the last week, I have finished a big wedding album, an engagement album, and a baby announcement. I will work on getting some of that up for your viewing pleasure! Here is the announcement that has been drafted up, this is just an example, not the exact one they will be using. Gotta keep that one secret a bit until after mailing. I think it is so cute.

Mike, Katie and their daughter Kylie have been waiting for this little guy to come into the world. A few weeks ago, he finally did and he is SO cute. His name is Connor Clifford Crame. I have known this family for many years now and it was such a privilege to photograph their family! Despite the heat, we went out yesterday and shot so many photos. Between photographs and laughing, we really had a great time. Here are quite a few photos from yesterday. I hope you enjoy as much as I did!

Babies, Babies, Babies....

It seems to be the season for babies. I have had the great chance of photographing six or seven sweet babies in just the last two weeks. Today, I spent the afternoon with my niece, Samara and my nephew, Elijah. They are always so fun to photograph. We were just sitting around playing with toys and splashing around in the baby pool. I am really enjoying this quality time with them! Here are a few photos to "show off" the little ones in my life!

One of my BEST friends came into to town to spend some time with me! It was such a great surprise and it really made my weekend! I went to visit her when she had her baby almost one year ago in August. Now her little baby girl is getting so big. We played in the water out in the yard with both our daughters. I think Jordyn was so glad to have a little friend to play with.
As most of you know, I am taking off a few weeks this summer from weddings, just until my baby is born. But I can't seem to stay away from shooting anything and everything. Here are a few photos that I took of my friends daughter, Jazmine Isabella. She is just the cutest thing. She has a very big and cute personality. Very fun to shoot.

She is the cutest little girl! Its been excited and nail biting at the same time, waiting to see if this little one was a boy or a girl. My best friend, Kate and her husband, Brian wanted to wait to find out the sex of the baby until the birth date! And she is a beautiful little girl! I am so excited that she is finally here! And she looks so much like her daddy.
We didn't do a studio shoot or anything, just a few shots taken here and there. But I made these postcard announcements for them.

I snapped these quick photos today as my daughter and I were spending some time together. I wasn't planning on taking photos, but I was cleaning some of my camera equipment and decided to snap a couple. These faces capture my daughter so well. I thought I would share. I hope you enjoy!

Album Design

For most of my clients I design a wedding album with their favorite photo choices from their wedding day. Each album is custom designed with quotes, song lyrics and other things of their choice.
Recently, I finished an album design for one of my lifelong friends and his awesome new wife. Their wedding was so much to attend and photograph. Congrats, again, Jody and Lindsay!!! Here are a few pages from their album...

I apologize for the delay in posts from current weddings and other photoshoots. My family and I caught a few different flu and colds recently.
However, I am going to be posting them.
Here is a photoshoot of a long time friend and her son. Annie and I were friends way back in elementary school and up. So, this photoshoot was extra special and fun for me. We went out to a really neat place and just had fun with it. I can't wait for the next shoot. Annie is also a photographer... she will be shooting some photos of my family this week! Here are a few from the other day!

The weather has been so wonderful lately, a perfect time to hang out in the back yard with family and friends.
My best friend, Kate, was with me at my parent's house the other day and we decided to shoot a couple photos of her. She is about 37 weeks pregnant... a good time to have a snapshot or two of her being pregnant. Jordyn was out there running around so we snapped a couple of her as well. I love days like these! Arizona Weddings

Arizona Weddings Magazine will be coming out with their newest edition this June. As most of you don't know, I am now advertising in that magazine.
One of the fun things about Arizona Wedding Magazine is they dedicate a section in the center of the magazine to some of Arizona's Newest Newlyweds. Well, I finally have chosen the bride and groom I entered for Keator Photography, Steve and Cindy Threadgill. They were married in March this year. As well as all of my brides and grooms, Steve and Cindy were so awesome to work with. I had so much fun shooting their wedding. I have known Cindy for a couple years now and just recently got to know Steve just a bit. They are so sweet for each other. I did already post a few photos from their wedding. Here is the one you will be seeing in the magazine for Newest Newlywed!

Thank you for being such a wonderful couple to spend the day with!! It is so awesome to watch two people absolutely in love with each other. And to be able to capture it on camera is my dream, so it was a fabulous day! Not to mention all the laughing and jokes going on, it was a true party!

It's been awhile... But I am now back to blogging. So look back soon for some updates and recent shoots!

A little update about myself.
I am pregnant, again. I am about four and a half months along and we finally find out what the sex of the little baby is on April 9th!!! We couldn't be more excited. This is something my husband, Mike, has been counting down since I was first pregnant.

I will keep you posted on the good news shortly!

I will be taking a small break from shooting weddings for a few months. Mainly, August-half of October. I will still be working on current client albums, but just a break from being on my feet. I start back up with weddings at the end of October and I am already excited!

The 2009 Calendar is booking up fast for weddings! I am so excited to continue into a new year!

Our Daughter, Jordyn Ashlee

Recently, I took a trip to New Mexico to visit my best friend. While I was out there she gave birth to her beautiful daughter. So, while she was in the hospital, I had some down time to do a photo shoot of my daughter. It was just a five or 10 minute shoot. I just took her outside and began shooting. She is only 10 months old, but already loves to have her photo taken. She even knows that after it is taken she is able to view it on the back. So, after the photo is taken she always leans over like she is trying to see the back of my camera.... it is just the cutest thing. Once she sees herself on the screen, she laughs and gets right back in position. Sometimes, she even kisses herself on the screen. Anyways, I wanted to share a few images from that. The photo on the stairs... I set her down thinking she is going to try and roll forward down the steps, but she didn't. She placed each hand on the step behind her and continued to pose like this for several minutes. It turned out awesome!

Family makes events FUN

Recently, I shot a wedding for a family friend, Melinda and Jeff. Its always fun shooting weddings for people that you know. But, this wedding my older brother and sister-in-law were actually in the wedding. My other family were their and they brought my sweet, 10 month old daughter. It was so much fun. For those of you who do not know my older brother, he can entertain a room full of people very easily. He is a complete goofball, to say the least. My brother was the best man... luckily he knows the bride and groom very well. This explains why no one in the wedding party was surprised by all the jokes and goofing. I laughed so hard the entire day. I loved shooting all the photos of everyone. From the wedding party to the guests, everyone was full of energy, feeding off of my brother. The grandparents of the bride got their camera out, at one point, just to take a photo of my brother dancing. My parents were their with my daughter and it was so sweet to see how excited they were to be watching her for the day. I love my family! I love to shoot weddings, too. It was a great day! Ready to Go

This last eight months I have been mostly focusing on my new daughter, Jordyn Ashlee. She was born Thanksgiving Day, 2006. So, I have only booked a wedding or two for the months following my daughters birth. I really wanted to focus on her. Now the fall is here and I am ready to take on weddings as usual. I am really looking forward to getting back into the FULL swing of things. I finally am ready to juggle both my passions... photography and my daughter.
I am just now opening up the calender for the year 2008. I am ready to start booking. And in honor of this, I am going to be offering some sweet deals and add-ons to packages. I am really looking forward to meeting with new brides and capture all the new special moments.
